We will issue the second Mock System Stress Event Reporting for this Delivery Year on 18 February 2025. This forms part of the ongoing System Stress Event Testing Programme, which aims to address data quality issues and improve the overall accuracy on Settlement, should a System Stress Event occur.
The Mock System Stress Event Reporting replicates the calculations involved in a System Stress Event. This reporting is essential in helping you understand your initial position had a System Stress Event occurred and be informed of any issues identified against individual Capacity Market Units (CMUs).
What do you need to do to prepare?
To ensure you receive this reporting and act on it effectively, it is essential that your organisation’s Authorised Contact details in My EMRS are accurate and up to date.
Here’s why this is important:
- Accurate communication of information
The report will only be sent to specific contacts registered in My EMRS (Finance Authority, Operating Authority, and Trading Contacts). Outdated contact details may result in the report not reaching the appropriate stakeholders. - Understanding your initial position:
It provides insights into how each Capacity Market Unit (CMU) would perform, helping you identify and address potential issues. Missing this information could leave you unprepared for an actual System Stress Event, potentially resulting in inaccuracies during Settlement. - Ensuring data quality and compliance:
Without accurate contact details, important notifications about data discrepancies or other issues may go unnoticed, increasing the risk of non-compliance or financial penalties. - Facilitating timely resolution of issues:
Ensuring the right people receive the report enables your organisation to promptly address any issues identified.
