The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) have published a consultation on the proposed changes to the Electricity Supplier Obligation Regulations in response to COVID-19.
This consultation covers the proposed changes to the Regulations to reflect how the one-off, interest-free loan to be provided by BEIS to LCCC would work in practice in reducing the Supplier Obligations in the short term, and the recovery mechanics of this loan. The consultation includes how the amount of the loan will be determined, and how this amount will be translated into reductions in current supplier obligations and increases in a future quarter.
