On behalf of the Electricity Settlements Company (ESC), this afternoon we have issued Mock System Stress Event Reporting to Capacity Providers. This reporting forms part of the ongoing System Stress Event Testing Programme, which aims to address data quality issues and improve the overall accuracy on Settlement, should a System Stress Event occur.
The reporting issued replicates the calculations involved in a System Stress Event and will help Capacity Providers understand their initial position had a System Stress Event occurred and be informed of any issues identified against individual CMUs.
From today, until 12 December 2024, we will be available via our Service Desk to respond to any queries related to your Mock System Stress Event Reporting.
The reporting was issued to Finance Authority, Operating Authority and Trading Contacts that are registered within My EMRS. We encourage you to please visit My EMRS to review or update your registered contacts, this helps ensure we are communicating with the right people on this activity in future. Additionally, we will be running a second Mock System Stress Event Reporting in February 2025, and further details will be communicated closer to the time.
