The CfD arrangements or Contract for Difference means the UK government scheme established by the Energy Act 2013. The purpose of the CfD arrangements is to incentivise investments in new low-carbon electricity generation by providing stability and predictability to future revenue streams. CfD is used to refer to both the “CfD arrangements” and the “CfD agreement.”
