In its role as the Settlement Body, Electricity Settlements Company (ESC) has implemented the FCFS process to ensure that each asset is only included in one Metering Configuration. This is designed to reduce the risk of ownership conflicts, co-located asset issues, and late-stage resubmissions.
The FCFS window opens at 10:00am on 31 March 2026 and components submitted before this time will not be considered claimed. We encourage early preparation as this will help us support you more efficiently throughout this process.
What You Need To Do
- Ensure you are registered on My EMRS to participate in the FCFS process.
- Submit your CMU Metering Configuration by emailing [email protected] from 10:00am on 31 March 2026, including address and postcode information for each component.
- EMRS will review your submission and will confirm approvals, as well as any issues identified, and confirm next steps to support you with the process.
Important Information to Note
A component is considered claimed when it is first submitted from 10:00am on 31 March 2026, provided no data quality issues are identified.
Resubmitting an unchanged Metering Configuration does not reset your claim order.
Co-located assets may be eligible for a difference metering solution, provided both CPs op-tin to ESC’s headend system.
You may still follow the standard submission route; however, this may lead to slower validation and increased risk of resubmission close to metering deadlines.
Proven DSR CMUs with existing Metering Configurations will not need to submit their Metering Configurations as part of FCFS.
