Overview

We are implementing enhancement changes to improve the customer experience in some key areas of My EMRS. These can be categorized into the following areas:

  • Registration
  • Tooltips
  • Metering Assessment
  • Metering Configuration

Several of these improvements have been made directly in response to customer feedback, and we are pleased to show that your input has helped to shape meaningful changes. Thank you to all of our customers for taking the time to share your thoughts – we genuinely value your feedback.

Our aim is to ensure your experience with My EMRS is consistently positive and user-friendly.

Here are some further details of these enhancements and the benefits these provide.

Firstly, the ‘Registration’ improvements will support all Capacity Providers, CfD Generators and Suppliers.

Registration

  • Within the Authorised Contacts screen you’ll be able to view active contacts and also use a toggle functionality to review removed contacts.
  • For registration approvals with the status ‘Waiting with External Authority’ the relevant Authorised Contacts will receive an automated email on a weekly basis as a reminder to complete the approval. This will aid approvals being managed in a timely manner and ensuring customers details are kept updated in My EMRS.

Tooltips 

  • We’ve added new tooltips in My EMRS to provide contextual information, improve usability, and guide Capacity Providers through more complex processes. We hope these enhancements make using My EMRS easier and more intuitive going forward.

The Metering Assessment and Metering Configuration changes are focused on improving the user experience for Capacity Providers.

Metering Assessment

  • When completing this process, a Capacity Provider will be able to select if they are an Interconnector CMU and review the tailored Metering Assessment questions.
  • Once a Capacity Provider has completed their Metering Assessment, we have now included a summary review of the Metering Assessment answers. This allows the Capacity Provider to double check the responses and make any updates to ensure the final submission is accurate.

Metering Configuration

  • The status of a Metering Configuration has been simplified and helps the Capacity Provider when reviewing their Metering Configuration in understanding their submission status.

These updates to My EMRS are designed to make the user experience simpler and more efficient.

Documentation

As part of this change, we have updated G25 – My EMRS User Guide to support the Interconnector CMU questions in the Metering Assessment.

Implementation

We can confirm that these changes were deployed on Tuesday 20 May 2025.
