Overview
To make the Capacity Market Metering Statement process more efficient and easier to complete, we will be updating our documents (listed below), as well as the Stakeholder Support for Capacity Providers webpage.
Once these improvements are published, they will help to provide greater clarity to Capacity Providers throughout the Metering Statement process.
Supporting Information
We manage the CM Metering Test process, which includes the submission of Metering Statements. To support Capacity Providers through this process, we will improve our guidance by updating our existing documentation.
As part of these updates, we will:
- Identify common pitfalls that occur throughout the process and explain how to avoid these. If these are avoided, this would significantly shorten the Metering Statement process for customers.
- Updating the Metering Statement (Capacity Market Schedule 6) template to include guidance on the information needed for each question in the statement.
- Develop examples of completed Metering Statements for different metering set-ups to demonstrate how each section should be completed.
- Advise Capacity Providers to use incremental versioning when re-submitting documents. This will help EMRS to clearly identify updated submissions and process them more efficiently.
