On Thursday 2 February 2017, BEIS published their response to feedback received from the consultation on the proposed 2017/18 operational costs and resulting levies for the Low Carbon Contracts Company and the Electricity Settlements Company (ESC). The operational costs of the companies are recovered through levies on electricity suppliers and revised levies for 2017/18 are included in regulations that have been laid in Parliament today. It confirms that the total operational cost budgets for both companies remain as consulted on.
