SUMMARY:Impact Assessment Deadline: DTC SPF 107 – ‘Reporting of Additional EMR Backing Data’
DESCRIPTION:The aim of this proposal is to reduce the validation required for Suppliers\, CfD Generators and Capacity Providers as the backing data within the data flows will align to what is issued. The associated data flows will be structured and named in line with the actual output from the Settlement Systems. \nWithin the SPF\, the implementation to the Data Transfer Catalogue (DTC) is proposed for the November 2021 Release. \nWhat changes are included in DTC SPF 107 – Reporting of Additional EMR Backing Data? \nFull details of the changes proposed can be view via the Solution Pre-Assessment Form submitted and the associated redlined appendices for the five data flows via the MRASCo website in the DTC SPF 107 – ‘Reporting of Additional EMR Backing Data’. \nWho can respond to the SPF Impact Assessment? \nMRA Parties will be responding to the SPF impact assessment. If any Suppliers\, CfD Generators and Capacity Providers that are also MRA Parties wish to respond to this impact assessment can email MRACA@gemserv.com or call on 020 7090 1029 by close of play on 10 December 2020.

SUMMARY:BEIS Consultation Deadline: LCCC and ESC Operational Costs 2021 to 2022
DESCRIPTION:The Department for Business\, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) are seeking views on the proposed 2021 to 2022 operational cost budgets and resulting levies for the Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC) and the Electricity Settlements Company (ESC). \nThe operational costs of LCCC and ESC are recovered through levies on electricity Suppliers\, as set out in legislation. This enables LCCC to enter into and manage Contracts for Difference (CfD) with low carbon electricity generators\, while the ESC is responsible for financial transactions relating to the Capacity Market\, including making capacity payments to capacity providers\, controlling collateral and managing auction bid bonds. \nSubject to the outcome of the consultation\, the relevant regulations will be amended and the operational cost levies for 2021-22 will be reflected in secondary legislation. This is intended to be laid in Parliament in early 2021\, to come into force (subject to the will of Parliament) before 1 April 2021. \nThe consultation will close at 11:45pm on 14 December 2020. For further details on the consultation and how to respond\, please refer to BEIS’ dedicated webpage: Low Carbon Contracts Company and Electricity Settlements Company Operational Costs 2021 to 2022.
