DESCRIPTION:The Department for Business\, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) have published a consultation on the proposed changes to the Electricity Supplier Obligation Regulations in response to COVID-19. \nThis consultation covers the proposed changes to the Regulations to reflect how the one-off\, interest-free loan to be provided by BEIS to LCCC would work in practice in reducing the Supplier Obligations in the short term\, and the recovery mechanics of this loan. The consultation includes how the amount of the loan will be determined\, and how this amount will be translated into reductions in current supplier obligations and increases in a future quarter. \nThe consultation closes on 19 May 2020. You can respond to the consultation online or by sending an email to: BEISContractsforDifference@beis.gov.uk. \nFurther information is available in EMRC211.

SUMMARY:Stress Event Improvement Programme for 2020 - Metered Data Report implemented on the EMRS Portal
DESCRIPTION:EMRS has successfully implemented the new Metered Data Report on the EMRS Portal for Capacity Providers. \nThe new Metered Data Report contains the metered volumes provided to EMRS for each settlement date in the Delivery Year. Capacity Providers will be able to confirm if their data flows have been received and have visibility of the metered volumes submitted. This gives Capacity Providers an indication of the metered volumes to be used in the Stress Event calculations if required. This change forms part of the system improvements for the Stress Event programme of activities for this year. \nEMRC210 was issued to confirm the new Metered Data Report has successfully been implemented and EMRC209 provides full details about the new Metered Data Report.

SUMMARY:Deadline for applications for Green Excluded Electricity
DESCRIPTION:Suppliers have until the 31 December 2018 to apply for a determination that an amount of electricity supplied is Green Excluded Electricity (GEE) for the Quarterly Obligation Period 1 April 2018 to 30 June 2018. \nSuppliers seeking a determination that an amount of electricity supplied is GEE must be in accordance with the Contracts for Difference (Electricity Supplier Obligations) Regulations 2014. Suppliers should submit applications to EMRS who calculate the exemption on behalf of Low Carbon Contracts Company. \nOfgem has developed a spreadsheet that enables Suppliers to input the relevant data to evidence the supply of GEE. The spreadsheet can be used as the application. Where the amount of electricity is determined as GEE \, this will be taken into account in the Quarterly Reconciliation calculation as a retrospective amendment. The amount will be exempted from the Suppliers Daily and Quarterly contribution. \nTo help Supplier’s with this process: \n\nWP7 – CFD Green Excluded Energy on our Working Practice webpage details the process undertaken once an application to EMRS is submitted.\nGreen Excluded Energy Guidance on the LCCC website provides information on the evidence and content required to be submitted with an application\, the validation EMRS perform and the capping of GEE.

DESCRIPTION:Suppliers have until the 30 September 2018 to apply for a determination that an amount of electricity supplied is Green Excluded Electricity (GEE) for the Quarterly Obligation Period 1 January 2018 to 31 March 2018. \nSuppliers seeking a determination that an amount of electricity supplied is GEE must be in accordance with the Contracts for Difference (Electricity Supplier Obligations) Regulations 2014.
