SUMMARY:Supplier Capacity Market Demand Forecast 2024 Deadline
DESCRIPTION:Suppliers are required\, under the Electricity Capacity (Supplier Payment etc.) Regulations 2014\, to provide a forecast of Gross Demand for the Period of High Demand: 4pm to 7pm on Working Days from November through to February for the 2024/25 Delivery Year. This forecast is used to calculate Suppliers’ monthly Capacity Market Supplier Charge and monthly Credit Cover requirements for 2024/25 Delivery Year. \nThe email issued to Suppliers will include the following: \n\nCSV forecast template to be completed by entering a demand figure for each of the upcoming peak months (to 3 decimal places)\, saving and attaching this to your reply to the Service Desk.\nSupporting Instructions (PDF) contains your actual peak demands for the previous two Delivery Years (where available) and further information on completing the forecast.\n\n‘Reminder’ emails will be issued at specified intervals at seven\, two and one working day prior to the Friday 31 May 2024 demand forecast deadline. The demand forecast template and the reminders emails will be issued to the Primary Company email addresses. \nUpon returning back your completed CSV forecast templates via email\, we do ask Suppliers to provide any supporting commentary within your reply to us via the Service Desk. \nPlease visit the Stakeholder Support – CM Supplier webpage which provides information on completing your forecast. We also have WP5 – Supplier Capacity Market Demand Forecast\, and G12 – Supplier Capacity Market Demand Forecast for further information. \nOnce all forecasts are received and reviewed\, EMRS will look to send Supplier’s their Schedule of Supplier’s Monthly CM Supplier Charges and Credit Cover by the end of July 2024.

DESCRIPTION:The Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC) is required to determine the Total Reserve Amount and Interim Levy Rate for the Quarterly Obligation Period 1 Janaury 2024 to 31 March 2024 \nOnce confirmed\, we will notify Suppliers in accordance with the Contracts for Difference (Electricity Supplier Obligations) Regulations 2014 (the “Supplier Obligation Regulations”) of the Supplier’s Reserve Payment Amount and the Interim Levy Rate. \nThe CfD Scheme Dashboard illustrates the calculations performed to determine the Interim Levy Rate and Total Reserve Amount. It also provides a 15 month forecast and a Daily Reconciled Levy Rates. You can view the CfD Scheme Dashboard on the LCCC website.

The FCLs recover costs for schemes such as Contracts for Difference and the Capacity Market. Registrants are the owners of meters. \nCurrently the FCLs are calculated by EMRS. The calculation is based on the Balancing Mechanism Unit Gross Demand provided by our BSC Systems in the SAA-I042 Settlement report interface. \nHowever\, the Electricity Act 1989’s definition of supply excludes electricity supplied by Suppliers to Generators\, and Storage operated by Generation licensees should not be subject to FCLs. The joint Government and Ofgem smart systems and flexibility plan also states that FCLs should not be charged for such imports. \nCurrently EMRS is operating an interim solution to resolve this issue. The solution involves adjusts the Balancing Mechanism (BM) Unit Gross Demand to remove imports provided to generation and / or storage through Supplier Volume Allocation (SVA) metering systems. This is being used where there is no final demand by consumers. However\, EMRS cannot adjust the BM Unit Gross Demand for SVA-connected sites where there is also final demand\, or for any Central Volume Allocation (CVA) connected sites. \n• See the P395 webpage for all of the background information on the Modification.

SUMMARY:Suppliers’ first deadline to lodge CM Credit Cover for 2023/24 Delivery Year
DESCRIPTION:To support the start of the 2023/24 Delivery Year Suppliers are required to lodge Credit Cover by no later than 12 Working Days before the start of the Delivery Year. Suppliers’ first deadline to lodge Credit Cover for October 2023 is by 5:00 p.m. on 14 September 2023. \nHow much Credit Cover do I need to lodge?  \nThe amount of Credit Cover is set at 110% of the monthly Capacity Market Supplier Charge. Suppliers exact amounts were confirmed in the monthly Capacity Market Credit Cover and Supplier Charge schedules issued on the 31 July 2023. You can also locate this schedule in My EMRS in your Party Data section. \nHow do I lodge Credit Cover?   \nCredit Cover is accepted as either cash\, via a Letter of Credit or a combination of the two. Please note\, in order for Credit Cover to be considered as lodged\, the cash amount must have been received in the relevant bank account or a valid Letter of Credit must have been received by EMRS. When lodging a Letter of Credit by SWIFT message\, please email a copy of the message to the Service Desk. \nWP45 – Supplier CM Credit Cover details the process for lodging Credit Cover including the Letter of Credit templates and bank details. G14 – Supplier CM Credit Cover provides further guidance on CM Credit Cover. Should you wish to make changes to the wording of the Letter of Credit then these changes should be authorised by EMRS before submitting to our bankers. Unauthorised changes will be rejected and as a result will delay having Credit Cover lodged. \nFurther information is captured on the Stakeholder Support for Suppliers – CM webpage.

DESCRIPTION:We would like to advise from 5:30pm on Thursday 6 July 2023 to 8:30am on Monday 10 July 2023\, the Jira Service Management application used to manage the Service Desk is going to be down for maintenance. \nHow will this impact the EMRS Service Desk?                        \nDuring this short period of maintenance\, the following is impacted: \n\nIssue of ticket reference numbers\nAbility for Operators to respond via the Service Desk\nTicket status notifications\n\nThis includes the contact@emrsettlement.co.uk and metering@emrsettlement.co.uk email addresses. \nRest assured we have chosen the quietest period to undertake this maintenance to minimise impact on our customers. \nWhat should I do if I have an urgent query or service request?  \nIf you do have an urgent query or service request during this period\, please call the Service Desk on 020 7380 4333 and the team will be happy to assist. \nWhat happens when the maintenance is completed?  \nWe are confident the Service Desk will be fully restored at around 8:30am on Monday 10 July 2023. Any emails received during the downtime will load into the Service Desk and ticket reference numbers will be issued.
