DESCRIPTION:When do I need to have my Credit Cover in place?  \nSuppliers are required to lodge Credit Cover by no later than 12 Working Days before the start of a month within a Delivery Year. Suppliers’ first deadline to lodge Credit Cover for October 2021 is by 5:00 p.m. on 15 September 2021. \nHow do I lodge Credit Cover?   \nCredit Cover is accepted as either cash\, via a Letter of Credit or a combination of the two. Please note\, in order for Credit Cover to be considered as lodged\, the cash amount must have been received in the relevant bank account or a valid Letter of Credit must have been received by EMRS. When lodging a Letter of Credit by SWIFT message\, please email a copy of the message to the Service Desk. \nWP45 – Supplier CM Credit Cover details the process for lodging Credit Cover including the Letter of Credit templates and bank details. G14 – Supplier CM Credit Cover provides further guidance on CM Credit Cover. Should you wish to make changes to the wording of the Letter of Credit then these changes should be authorised by EMRS before submitting to our bankers. Unauthorised changes will be rejected and as a result could delay having your Credit Cover lodged.

DESCRIPTION:On 30 April 2018\, the Delivery Body confirms the period for the Mock System Stress Event. The period is 1 March 2018 at 11:00–15:00 and this includes Settlement Periods 23 to 30. Metered data must be submitted by your elected Metering Pathway no later than 17:00 on 14 May 2018 (9WD) to EMRS to cover this period. \n\nFor BM units – No further action is required.\n\n\nFor MPANs via the D0357 – The elected Half Hourly Data Aggregators (HHDA) should provide data on your behalf.\n\n\nSelf–Submission of data via Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) – The procedure is stated in section 3.2 ‘Self-Submission by a Capacity Provider’ in WP195 – Capacity Market and CFD Metered Data. Please be advised the data must be submitted for a Settlement Day\, and not just the relevant Settlement Periods. The metered data should be provided using a CSV defined file format (e.g. in Appendix 2) uploaded via SFTP. The requirements of the CSV file are defined in Appendix 1. To register for a SFTP account with EMRS please email contact@emrsettlement.co.uk with a nominated contact\, email address\, and a mobile number.\n\nDemand Side Response (DSR) CMU’s – DSR CMU’s are required to submit metered data for at least six weeks prior to the Stress Event period within the above timescales. The amount will be exempted from the Suppliers daily and quarterly contribution. \nOn 9 June 2017\, EMRS issued EMRC124 to remind Suppliers and provide details further on the application process.

DESCRIPTION:The Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC) changes to support Energy Intensive Industry (EII) for Electricity Market Reform (EMR) will be implemented as part of the June 2015 Release\, today Thursday 25 June 2015. \nThis supports The Electricity Supplier Obligations (Amendment & Excluded Electricity) Regulations 2015 that came into force on 1 April 2015 to introduce the EII and green excluded electricity policy. \n\nThe EII policy is designed to exempt eligible EIIs from a proportion of CFD payments. The earliest the EII exemptions can apply will be the 1 October 2015.\nGreen excluded electricity policy is designed to exempt eligible imported renewable electricity from contributing to the costs of CFDs\, specifically a Supplier’s CFD period contribution.\n\nWe’ve communicated via circulars on these topics and the most recent being EMRC47\,  however we previous circular sent were EMRC45 and EMRC41. \nWho does this impact? \nThe Electricity Supplier Obligations (Amendment & Excluded Electricity) Regulations 2015 places obligations on Suppliers. \nThe changes to the BSC and the DTC will impact: \n\nSuppliers\nHalf Hourly Data Aggregators\n\nThis will also be of interest to EIIs. \nWhat changes will be implemented to the BSC for EII? \nThese are the BSC Sections and Code Subsidiary Documents (CSDs) impacted: \n\nSection F – Modification Procedures\nSection K – Classification and Registration of Metering Systems and BM Units\nSection S – Supplier Volume Allocation\nSection X – Annex X-1 – General Glossary\nBSCP503: Half Hourly Data Aggregation for SVA Metering Systems Registered in SMRS\n\nYou can find the redlined BSC changes for DECC’s EII policy on the ELEXON website.
