SUMMARY:Deadline for applications for Green Excluded Electricity
DESCRIPTION:Suppliers have until the 31 March 2018 to apply for a determination that an amount of electricity supplied is Green Excluded Electricity (GEE) for the Quarterly Obligation Period 1 July 2017 to 30 September 2017. \nSuppliers seeking a determination that an amount of electricity supplied is GEE must be in accordance with the Contracts for Difference (Electricity Supplier Obligations) Regulations 2014. Suppliers should submit applications to EMRS who calculate the exemption on behalf of Low Carbon Contracts Company. \nOfgem has developed a spreadsheet that enables Suppliers to input the relevant data to evidence the supply of GEE. The spreadsheet can be used as the application. Where the amount of electricity is determined as GEE \, this will be taken into account in the Quarterly Reconciliation calculation as a retrospective amendment. The amount will be exempted from the Suppliers Daily and Quarterly contribution. \nTo help Supplier’s with this process: \n\nWP7 – CFD Green Excluded Energy on our Working Practice webpage details the process undertaken once an application to EMRS is submitted.\nGreen Excluded Energy Guidance on the LCCC website provides information on the evidence and content required to be submitted with an application\, the validation EMRS perform and the capping of GEE.
